April 22nd is designated as Earth Day. Earth Day was first observed on April 22nd 1970. The founder of Earth Day is considered to be Senator Gaylord Nelson of Wisconsin. This is a day designed to educate people on how to improve our environment. Earth & Turf has been dedicated to improving the soil by topdressing with organics. We believe a heathy soil requires less chemical herbicides and pesticides which can end up in the ground water supply. The Earth has been in a warming cycle for 1000’s of years since the last Ice Age. One thing for sure as this warming cycle continues, until the next Ice Age, good clean water will be important to sustain life. Have a wonderful Earth Day this weekend.
