The MultiSpread 45HP is the economical, walk-behind model of the MultiSpread™ line. This is the ideal topdresser for spreading compost with up to 25% moisture content on lawns and small turf areas. The unit is based on a three-wheel design, making it easy and possible to get jobs done fast, even in tight corners.

The 45HP features a 4.5 cu. ft. hopper capacity, keeping reloading to a minimum. It is thirty-inches wide and spreads materials using a unique, reciprocating screen design (Patent Pending), which produces an even, full-width spread pattern in one-pass.

It applies topdressing material in 1/8″ to 1/4″ inches thick.

It applies topdressing material between 1/8″ and 1/4″ application thickness depending on the material being spread. This walk behind spreader also features an easily removable handle for quick storage or transport.

I purchased a MultiSpread 45HP earlier this year (after lots of helpful dialogue with Jeb), and recently used it to top-dress my lawn. Using the right material (properly screened compost mix), the process and results were great! Just a nice even spread through straight lines before refilling. Better than manually spreading, not as good as the more expensive power machines as you would expect, but good for my residential needs. I also like that it’s a quality built, durable, yet simple machine. Happy with the purchase of course, so just wanted to share.

What it spreads:

A few of the materials commonly spread by the MultiSpread™ 45HP include: topdressing mixes and compost below 45% moisture content screened to 3/8's minus. You will be most successful spreading compost, compost mixes, and peat moss when broken up before being put into the machine.

Powered by:

As a walk behind spreader, the 45HP is actually powered by you! The force of you pushing the spreader turns the ground drive wheels which then activate the reciprocating screen design.
